Is there a way to delete all sheets with the word "tab" in the sheet name (calc)

I enable drill to details in my pivot table for temporary purposes. I end up with several tabs after a prolonged hours of work.
I end up spending a lot of time deleting all the sheets/tabs that get created when drilling. I always label my sheets so I have no need for them. is there a faster way to delete them all at once?

Hi
deleting files, per se, is not a function of L.O. it is a function of the operating system.
One method might be to open Dolphin ( or another file system ) and use the “find” function to find the documents in question.
Dolphin does a pretty good job so you can search using the word “tab” in the find function.

To be clear you will type the word tab … as in … tab …in the field. no quotes, etc.

Now, unfortunately you may get returns like “tabulation” in the returns.
Drag the edge of the returns box to where you can see that it is an extension such as .ods… that is for LO, you may have them in other formats.

Anyway, you can just go down right clicking the individual items to “move to trash” and then empty the trash or if you have enabled super user and delete you might have the option to delete.

Another method would be to split the screen, if you are using Ubuntu or another such and create a folder in one of the screens such as “sheets titled tab to delete” or some relevant name and drag the desired sheets into the folder.
The latter method would allow you to actually double check what is in the aforementioned folder to verify if the files are what you REALLY want to delete.
And, as always, if someone has a more cogent answer or suggestion please so post.
I hope that this helps a little and if you have questions, just ask.

Drill to details is not about files, it’s about added sheets/tabs in the same document (as correctly worded in the question).

Hi

If the assumption that these sheets have not been moved and that they follow each other is correct, you can click on the first tab concerned, then Shift+Click on the last one to select them and make a single deletion.

Just be careful not to include any sheets to keep.
