Just to reopen the question made by mavpouck at 2014 that said: “Is it possible to counts words in LibreOffice Impress ? If yes, how ? If no, are there plans to add this function ? Now, I copy the text to LibreOffice Writer and do the job there. Would be handier to do it in Impress.”

Yes I would love to see this too! (I too have to keep copying text from notes into Writer to see my wordcount on each slide!)

should have feature request in bugzilla
someone from developers should want to fix it or
you should pay any developer that he fixes your enhancement
