Is there any effort to allow a fully animated presentation to be output as HTML5 that will preserve audio and animations? This would be useful for e-learning design

Typically, I have been using commercial programs, such as Articulate or Captivate to take a fully animated powerpoint presentation with audio and port it to HTML5 for use in LMS systems. Moodle is a very popular open source LMS for use in presenting e-learning courses.

I think coming up with a way to create a presentation with interaction for e-learning within Impress that can then be converted by Impress to a set of HTML5 pages would be a real coup and allow e-learning designers worldwide to create material that runs on tablets, phones, and computer screens.

Not that I know of. Enhancement requests are taken up almost exclusively by volunteers. That’s a really big request - feel free to report it on our bug tracker http://bugs.freedesktop.org/ but it might be a long time before such an enhancement is accomplished. Patches always welcome

@gmasters2 - The reply of @jmadero.dev is really the very best you can get. Follow his advice. Write a good proposal explaining the importance as good as possible. Especially consider how often it would be used.
