Is there anyone or anyway to use maps to represent spatial data within documents, tables and reports by way of leveraging QGIS?

I am unable to assist this effort with $ donations, but I may be able to expand user base. I believe it IS possible.
Is anyone doing it? Has it been done? Can we develop something further with what’s been established already?
