It is safe to use LibreDocs from UserLAnd Technologies

I’ve seen that in https://www.libreoffice.org/download/android-and-ios/ there is no mention about LibreDocs from UserLAnd Thechnologies (for Android). This shocked me a bit.

They also offer to run LibreOffice insid the UserLAnd android app.

I’ve already found a bit of trouble trying to pay (a very little amount for) the Pro features needed to run a desktop environment inside UserLAnd, in a secure way, so I’m getting a bit distrustful.

So I’d like to know what do you know and think about LibreDocs standalone app and/or UserLAnd linux-providing app, as options for LibreOffice inside Android.

Thanks,
Juan

Let’s start with “who is who”…
.
You are “here” on a site where users of LibreOffice may help each other. So it is usually not a place, where you get “official” answers from developers or “The document foundation”.

Thanks Wanderer. I didn’t quite realize this was an user forum. I’ll reformulate the question and see if I can learn something about my issue from you all.

Maybe somebody uses the same solution…
.
It is not mentioned, as you use third party software to allow Unix/Linux software installed on your android device. So for tdf you use some linux distribution. Several things may not work/work differently.
.
Actually this is no problem for “security” from the side of LO, as you already installed an OS by UserLand. If you don’t trust them, don’t use it.

Thanks again, Wanderer.

In the LibreOffice page I expected to find something about LibreDocs. That’s a standalone android app from the UserLAnd people.

I was trying to use the UserLAnd linux-providing android app because of other reasons, but anyway I would run LibreOffice there actually (the genuine one, as far I understood).

I run into the problem I cited before and I looked for more info. One branch of that is this query.

While LibreDocs is not reviewed in the PlayStore (in my reach of it -my country), UserLAnd has mainly good reviews among some thousands of them. But I’m not finding LibreDocs info in LO site, nor UserLAnd info in already a few linux-distribition official sites.

It bothers me to discard these UserLAnd people LO solutions without further information, as I’d found AndrOpen Office and Collabora Office somewhat uneasy -I used one of them a lot, and I felt (personal opinion) far more confortable with LO even in my little 11’ laptop.

Hope somebody here has deal with either LibreDocs or UserLAnd apps and can tell me about it…

I’ll refine my original query a bit again.
