This was supposedly “resolved” a couple of years ago. Alex (name?) shut down the pertinent thread in March 2016. I hadn’t had the problem since then. Today I downloaded and installed the latest version of LibO (the “conservative” variety).
Now a Writer file with embedded pictures is dropping one of them into limbo. NOT ALL OF THEM. Just one. Oh, by the way, it’s still there – when I move or stretch the empty frame, it will momentarily appear: sometimes complete …sometimes just the top half …sometimes just a slice in the middle. But invariably, it disappears before I try to print (oh, and the print preview shows just a blank space, too).
Computer – 3-year-old HP 280 G1 Mini-Tower
Processor – Intel Core i3-4170 CPU @ 3.7 GHz
OS – Windows Pro 7 (SP 1)
HD memory – 452 GB (366 GB open)
LibO version – v 5.4.5.1 (x64), Build ID: 79c9829dd5d8054ec39a82dc51cd9eff340dbee8
LibreOffice memory settings
— Use for LibO – 400 MB
—Memory per object – 15 MB
—Remove after – 15 min
Browser – Google Chrome (…but can fall back on MS Int-Expl, if I have to)
Is anyone else having this problem?
