I've tried to install libre office 3.5.3, but I keep getting an error message that says exit all users. Since no other versiton of libre office 3.5.3 is on the computer, this can't work

I’v downloaded libre office 3.5.3 four times. Each time I try to install, I get the message, exit libre office 3.5.3. This can’t be right. There is no 3.5.3 application on the computer.

check if task still running even though no ICON. Got to kill the process to install. I think the process is called “openoffice” in windows XP environments.

I appears that LO does not always gracefully clean up on exit. It appears you can open new docs as will…but updating code and such seems create some LO “heartburn”
