Justification not working

Hello, for some reason, justify does just not work for me.

In the paragraph tab, Align Left, Right, and Center all work. It’s what justify does not work.
I have tried going to Format → Paragraph → Alignment → Justified (last line: Justified) yet nothing still works. Even in styles, I have changed all parts to justify yet nothing seems to work. I also have tried resizing the text box itself but it doesn’t even move to the next line. It only moves when I press enter on it.

I am also using an .odg file for this since it is where I have already written out my document.

ODG is a Draw file. You have used the tag for Writer, which is confusing.

To be able to help you better, please name your operating system and the LibreOffice version.
You can also upload your file here so that someone can view and examine it.
Remove any personal data beforehand.

In addition to @Hrbrgr’s remarks:

Your screenshot suggests you have either inserted a text box or a drawing made in Drw (based also on a text box) into your document. Such Drawing Objects are external to text and not controlled through styles. Consequently, all attempts to change settings with menu Format (or equivalent) are ineffective because they only operate on text.

If your intent is to write multi-page, continuous-flow, document, the tool is Writer, not Draw. Draw is intended for graphics limited to one slide. Slides are independent from each other; contents will not automatically spill over to next slide on overflow.

apologies, I was stressed out during this time

my OS is Windows 11 and the LibreOffice version is 24.8.4.2

I see, by any chance do you know how to move the content from the .odg file to the “writer” file? it doesn’t snap and is freely movable. thanks for the help by the way
