Keyboard gesture to bring items forward within a group?

I have tried to use the keyboard gestures to order objects within a group. However, the gesture to move an object forward within the group moves it all the way to the front of the group.

I have arm injuries and coordination problems, so both the menu and the keyboard gesture are painful to use. An alternative would be nice.

May be you used Ctrl Shift + (Bring to front) instead of Ctrl + (Bring forward)?
