I just added this comment to the Bug 38187 record.
This problem still exists in LibreOffice Writer version 4.3.5.2
Because I read my Writer created documents in pdf form, I need for the footnotes or endnotes to link back to the main text anchors.
I am using manually loaded bookmarks and hyperlinks instead of the insert footnote/endnote function to get endnotes that link back to the main text in exported pdfs.
Is there any possibility of this being corrected any time soon?

Bug 38187 - Functionality request: When exporting .odt to .pdf: add hyperlink for each endnote to return back to main text.
I have found that linking from the footnote or endnote back to the footnote or endnote text anchor does not work in exported pdfs. The linking works both ways in the Writer document but exporting to a pdf results in the loss of the footnote to footnote anchor functionality. The footnote anchor links to the footnote but the footnote does not link back to the text footnote anchor. When I create my endnotes manually using individually inserted bookmarks and hyperlinks, the linking works both ways as it should in the exported pdfs. Is there a way to make the footnote/endnote linking functionality be preserved in exported pdfs?
Also is there a reason the footnotes and endnotes installed via the insert footnotte/endnote function are not visible in the navigator like the bookmarks and hyperlinks?
