Libre Draw not printing some text

Version: 7.1.3.2 (x64)

I’m running into this weird error where some of my text in a Draw .odg will not print. At least, not entirely. It shows in the print preview, and other similar pages print similar text in the same region of the page (having been derived from copies of the same overall page and set of objects), but only the bottom millimeter or so of a text box prints on some pages.

Exporting it to a PDF gets the text to print but I lose the accuracy and I need/want that accuracy b/c I’m doing double-sided printing before then using the reverse guidelines for cutting.

I’m losing sleep here; any help would be greatly appreciated.

What OS? What printer make and model? Is your printer driver up-to-date?

Windows 10. Epson et-3760. It’s a new printer and I installed the drivers no more than a month ago.

On a Microsoft forum a user had a similarly odd problem, different printer and office suite but the solution worked for 12 people.

Sometimes, completely uninstalling the driver and installing again solves intractable problems. Cheers, Al

I did try updating drivers like you recommended. No luck. I did find a solution and have submitted it separately. Thank you for your time; I legit appreciate it.

Your mileage may vary, but in my case, it seems that part of the issue stems from the underlining layout lines/shapes I had been using to build up my drawing. I was fully adopting the spaghetti method and decided to delete the layout rectangle shapes in my drawing; even though the lines were set to null and there was no fill on the shapes.

Heck if I know why, considering other pages with the same (invisible) layout shapes printed fine, but this seemed to do the trick for me.
