Libre Office 24.2.2 doesn't open in Windows 10 (64 Bit)

Hello,

I downloaded Libre Office 24.2.2 onto my Windows10 PC.
After restarting the PC I go to my file manager and click on an excel file that I have always been able to open with earlier versions of Libre Office, and it doesn’t open.
For that matter, if I just try to open Libre Office, that doesn’t work either.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

I tried eventvwr.msc and saw this notice
Error 10010
Application ‘C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\soffice.bin’ (pid 21556) cannot be restarted - Application SID does not match Conductor SID…

What does that mean and what do I do about it?

Thanks very much for your help

to investigate on MS side : Event Viewer | Microsoft Learn

and on LO side :

etc …

You might need to add LibreOffice (C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\soffice.bin) to the Allowed list in your anti virus.

You might need to do this every upgrade

I use Win.10 + Libo.24.2.2.2, working normally.

Starting to test 24.2.3.1

I tried eventvwr.msc and saw this notice
Error 10010
Application ‘C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\soffice.bin’ (pid 21556) cannot be restarted - Application SID does not match Conductor SID…

What does that mean and what do I do about it?

Thanks very much for your help

I tried a reinstall for the third time, and it seems that the third time was a charm.
I did not deliberately make any changes but it seems as though this time the installation completed successfully.
Thank you all for your kind help.
