Libre Office Calc | Create editable List

Version: 25.2.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community

In the new version of LibreOffice, it is not possible to create an editable list. Any character or number entered, does not overwrite the data related to the list. The box is editable only when selecting an item from the list, then it is necessary to delete the direct formatting, using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + M. How can this restriction be solved? Thanks

Thank you for considering my report. In essence, the default text in the lists cannot be modified. In older versions of LibreOffice and using Microsoft Office, it is editable with the standard settings of the spreadsheet

In Data > Validity > Error Alert change from Stop to Information

enabling this option returns notification messages to be confirmed, in the old version of LibreOffice and Microsoft Office, unchecking the notifications changes the text without problems… This is a bug

Note that you need to tick the box, Show error message when invalid values are entered, or invalid values will be rejected without warning, see tdf#159595
