Hi, im new here, not sure how to use everything. created new topic, im a new user on linux, i chose debian when i started hate on microsoft. sooo the deal is i wanted to update libre office to newest version, i did that through flatpak, then snap, now back at flatpak. i have an issue with it, i wanted to change user interface, but i had no menu bar, no options, no costumization, no file, view edit etc. no nothing. i managed to change user interface, but no matter the interface, i still have no menu bar.
Please, do yourself a favor and use either the particular version from the Debian repository (installed via apt) or install Debian packages downloaded from https://libreoffice.org via dpkg. Never ever install LibreOffice in a container unless you are a developer or a specialist for the particular type of container.
The major version from your Debian repository updates automatically. However, you only get bug fixes and security updates, for instance 7.5.1, 7.5.2, 7.5.3 but never 7.6. IMHO, there is nothing wrong with slightly outdated versions of LibreOffice since the development process is a continuous process without revolutionary leaps.
