Libre Office Crashes When I Open Word Docs Exported From PAGES 5

I’m running LibreOffice 4.1 on Mavericks 10.9 OSx. Some files I can open without any problem while others in certain problems, upon opening them, LibreOffice just crashes over and over again. The files that cause LibreOffice to crash are word documents exported by Pages 5 and can be opened easily by Pages as well as Text Edit.

Please help.
