Libre office shifted cells. How to fix

In a formula being used in 244 rows LO moved cell from s to w column creating invalid results. Don’t know how this happened or how to fix. Can I and how?

There is not enough information in your question to answer. In any case, you should familiarize yourself with absolute, relative, and mixed range references.

Can you post the problem sheet? Or the stranded formula? If cells moved right, then that implies added columns, but as said, not enough info. I’d suggest using File>Save Copy to save to a backup name then seeing which columns from S to W are empty and deleting them. If the formulas aren’t working, then they may revive…although it’s not likely. It’s very fixable if nothing else is messed up, but it may require understanding the sources for that repeated formula.

Here is the formula. This is the modified formula. =SUM($‘2021 Trades’.N1032:N1035) If should have a J where the N is. Again this change came out of the blue. I assume I did something but no clue what. M

It seems that you inserted four columns somewhere.

You can:

  • Select the offending cells (those with the =SUM(... formula
  • Choose menu Edit - Find and Replace
  • In Find: field write N
  • In Replace: field J
  • Press Replace All

Can you give me the exact formula for doing this?
