I have a number of documents open in Libre Office Writer, but I am unable to edit or close any of them. How do I close down and start again or unfreeze them?
To terminate the processes

Windows > Taskmanager (CTRL+ALT+DEL)

Linux > Terminal > pkill soffice

Also under Linux, Ctrl+Alt+Esc turn your cursor into skull-and-bones. Click on the application window to kill.
