Libreoffice 3.5 & 3.4 has stopped working

I have been running 3.5.2 since it was released and earlier version long before with out any problems. All of a sudden I have encountered the error message “LibreOffice 3.5 has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.”

When I click on the LibreOffice icon it loads and Writer appears. Then it will become greyed out and the message above appears forcing me to exit. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the version but this does not seem to help. Anyone have ideas?

I am running Windows Vista Service pack 2. I have installed 3.4.6 also and the same thing happens. ARGH!!! Can someone help.

I recommend to try to launch LibO with renamed User Profile and to tell us what has happend.

Thank you so much! It worked. 3.5.3 now fine as far as I can tell. not sure what happened with the user profile.

We can try to examine your old user profile to find out what happened, but prospect of success unfortunately is bad because we only can see what causes the problem, but not how the problem came into the profile. If you have a suspect what damaged your profile you can submit a Bug.
