LibreOffice 6.1.5 not opening in macOS 10.8.5

I downloaded LibreOffice 6.1.5 and installed it on macOS 10.8.5 with no problems. However, when I clicked on the app icon it gives an error message saying that it needed a minimum system requirement of macOS 10.9. But on the download page it says 10.8.

How can I fix this?

Please provide specific link and screenshot where it is so, so that we could fix that.

LibreOffice 6.0 release notes mention that “This releases requires at least macOS 10.9”.

System Requirements page linked from Download page says “macOS 10.9 (Mavericks) or higher”.

So yes, you’d need version 5.4 or older to run on older macOS versions.

Here is the page - if you scroll to the bottom - under ‘Operating Systems’ - which says “10.8 or newer required”
