LibreOffice Calc is unusable on macOS

I’ve been using LibreOffice on Linux without issues but on macOS it’s unusable. It keeps on crashing and has multiple bugs that make it unusable. Sometimes when typing in a cell a character being typed replaces the current character so if you want to type the word “hello” you end up with just “o”. Also, I noticed that part of the rows become repeated horizontally, see illustration below:

A B C
1 2 3
D E F
4 5 6
H I J
7 8 9

spreadsheet turns into this:

A B C
1 2 3
D E F D E F D E F D E F D E F D E F D E F D E F D E F D E F D E F D E F
4 5 6 4 5 6 4 5 6 4 5 6 4 5 6 4 5 6 4 5 6 4 5 6 4 5 6 4 5 6 4 5 6 4 5 6 4 5 6 4 5 6
H I J H I J H I J H I J H I J H I J H I J H I J H I J H I J H I J H I J H I J H I J H I J
7 8 9

You might want to add more details to your question, specifically the information in the About LibreOffice window, see Ask/Guide - How to use the Ask site - The Document Foundation Wiki

It sounds a bit like a graphics issue, in the menu LibreOffice > Preferences > LibreOffice > View try unticking Force Skia software rendering, OK and allow LibreOffice to restart.
