libreoffice calc prints a large white box that covers the left half of the page, how to remove it?

When I click to print, the large white box shows up in the print preview and in the final print. It doesn’t show up at any other time in the spreadsheet, only when I print. I see others have had this same issue since at least 2012! So how do I remove the box, and print my spreadsheet.
