Libreoffice calc: text overflow indicator is on permanently

in libreoffice calc the text overflow indicator is on permanently and can’t be turned off now ? why ? is this a bug ? its on the two latest versions:

fix it asap , please?

The feature is present in my LO 24.2.0 portable version, but it is available in the Expert settings:

i tried that but in my version it was set to True, but still wasnt showing up in Options/View. tried switching True, False etc, made no difference , used the work around Solution. Tks All !

You can toggle the feature by a double click in the Expert settings.

Another way to access and control it is via the top Menu > Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Application Colours > Spreadsheet section > enable/disable ‘Text overflow’. This works in LO 7.6.5.2 (and probably 24.2).

thats perfect, that switched it off, not sure why its not in the old place it was in View etc, but this works. :grinning:

this all doesnt really resolve anything.
since the issue not only text overflow but
formula-content overflow which bugs us out.
cant update to the latest build coz of this crap(
the advanced option is only for text indeed.
another one is required for formulas…
