LibreOffice database not working.

I have an Apple iMac. Installed Java, Under Preferences, Advanced, the Java Option window, the box with "Use a Java runtime environment is ‘de-highlighted’. Thus, cannot run database. Other Apple computers the Java Option bit can be checked and the program works.
