LibreOffice icons were still on desktop, etc., but nothing happened. So I reinstalled the then-current version with no trouble and everything was fine. Then same thing happened 22 June 2019. This time the install of the current 6.1 version didn’t work–twice. So I went to Ninite(dot)com and had it install what turned out to be the current 6.2 version. And that seems to be working fine.
What’s happening? And how can I avoid the problem in the future?
