Almost any time I install new fonts, LibreOffice programs freeze and I have to force quit them. Has anyone been able to solve this problem?
Yup. Close LibreOffice. Install fonts. Open LibreOffice.
Much quicker.
I donât think you need to force close LibreOffice, it just takes a while to complete rereading the fonts.
But in any case, if you believe there is a hang, that would be definitely a bug. How to solve a bug? surprise: it should be fixed 
- and for that, it needs reported. You may also create a minidump of the hung process (soffice.bin), which should be attached to that bug report; that sometimes allows developers to see the problem as it appears on your system, even when unable to reproduce the problem themselves.
