LibreOffice Impress v 7.5 on Windows (Slide pane undocked)

Somehow the Slides pane has come undocked, floating free. I want it back on the left side of the Window, as usual. Did research without success. Neither dragging it there, nor any of the methods described for Impress such as ctrl-shift-F10, work . Any ideas?

Can't dock sidebar

I experienced the same issue (LO 6.2.2 on Windows 7). Restarting libreoffice helped already though… (that included quitting the running background program).

Sidebar won't dock

I think restarting Windows might be a better option. The default for Windows when you click Shut Down is to Hibernate so click Power > Restart (or Shift+Shut Down which temporarily disables FastStart. Search for FastStart to permanently disable FastStart which is totally unnecessary and probably drive-life shortening if you have SSD).

Thanks for the suggestion Leroy, but that didn’t work. Still opening up slides pane in a separate window. Anyone else have other ideas or solutions? TIA

ADDENDUM: after the reboot, the ctrl alt doublclick in the area next to the word “slides” seems to have done the trick after all. Before the reboot that wasn’t working. All good now.
