Libreoffice is taking hours to install. I tried running ccleaner to remove temp files and registry cleaning. As well as restarting pc. Any other ideas? Not geting a successful install.
Hello spiderman1234,
please keep in mind that LibreOffice runs on many platforms (Windows, Linux, MAC), has many versions out there and thus several install methods. Therefore - to be able to help - guys here, including me, need a bit information.
- What is your OS (from the words “registry cleaning” I take the fact, that it is probably Windows, but
again, there are many versions of Windows out there - Which version of Libreoffice are you trying to install
- Where did you get the install packages from?
- Do you use one of these third-party software installer like “Avast”, which claim to perform the installation for you ?
- Are there any error messages / install messages?

While you are preparing an edit for your question to add information requested by @anon73440385, I would suspect that this might be a case of hung wusa.exe process recently discovered by a number of installs of version 6.2 on Windows. That has been hopefully fixed for the next 6.2.3 release; and a possible workaround is to open task manager, and kill wusa.exe when installation hangs; or to open Service Manager and stop (but not disable!) Windows Update service prior to installation start.
