LibreOffice not working

LibreOffice is installed, but when I try to open a powerpoint-presentation file, LibreOffice Isn’t an option.

Open LibreOffice Impress and then File>Open?

Please tell us, what operating system and LibreOffice Version do you use. Thanks.

I use version 7.3.2, and I use Windows 10.
(Also, I can’t even open the LibreOffice app, but I can look inside the program files)

The same version.
Menu / File / Open, “C:\Temp\test.pptx”.
No problem.

Do you have problems with a specific file?

No, It’s happening to all of the files.

Are you opening the file exactly as I indicated in the previous post?

No, why? ,

It seems to me that you have a comical conception between the questioner and the answerer.

From @sokol92 you were made a suggestion to open a file in a certain procedure.

If that is not considered relevant to you, then please stop asking questions here.

When someone asks questions here, some cooperation is expected. Thank you.

He likely wants to enable file type (name extension?) association for .ppt files in Windows to open with context menu or in file manager or some such. It’s possible, but I forgot everything about Windows and I don’t feel like looking it up in a search engine. Someone else probably knows.

@erAck , If you have really forgotten , you have the possibility to read it here:

@henryisveryepic Let’s focus on why you are unable to open LibreOffice. Did you install it yourself? Did the installation report any errors? Do you have a shortcut somewhere (on your Windows Start menu, or on your desktop)? What, exactly, are you doing to start LibreOffice when it fails to start?

Did you see any error messages during installation? This wiki might help, General Installation Issues (Windows) - The Document Foundation Wiki

It might be security software blocking, you might need to add LibreOffice to an Allowed List. The actual file that needs access is C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\soffice.bin , you might need to navigate to the folder and enter the name because the security software might expect to add an .exe file to the list.
