LibreOffice UI is unreadable.

Something in the config of my LibreOffice got messed up and now the entire UI shows up in unintelligible chars (stars, triangles, snowflakes, etc). How do I reset it to something readable? I have tried renaming the .config/libreoffice directory and starting LibreOffice again hoping it would create new and useful config, but didn’t make any difference.

I run LibreOffice 4 on Red Hat.

I would save the current user profile under a different name, and uninstall all and make a new installation.
