LibreOffice Writer 4.2 on Windows Vista (English). The reverting or changing of frame borders has happened more than once, so I suspect there must be some trick involved. I am trying to get an 8-page historical newsletter finished (I have dome two others with this version of LibreOffice in the past). In the first case with this problem, I created the basic frame and then changed the borders to be thicker and with a blue color. Later, it has reverted to the thin black lines. I tried to get it to work again by changing it to something else and then changing it back, and one of the results was to get the thick blue lines, but only on top and bottom (even though the choice for all four sides was chosen). I am stumped. Sometimes I can get things right by doing it over or creating a new frame in another location. And sometimes the print preview does not show the same thing that the application is showing. I would appreciate any help.
There are certain kinds of LO/OO problems that have the same, bizarre, character. Yours seems to be one of those.
A corrupt profile can cause such problems. Fortunately, it is easy to fix (and to reverse):
- Close down LO/OO + the Quickstarter
- Go to your profile
- Rename the folder
- Restart the program
(this auto re-creates a default Profile)
