If I understand correctly your question, interpreting “resolution” as “magnifying factor”:

• with the document presently open, Window>New Window
  This opens a second window on the same document
• change the zoom factor using the slider at bottom right of the status bar
  

Take note that both windows are “connected”: any text change in one of them is immediately forwarded to the second one.
