LibreOffice24.2.2.2 sends crash report at every startup on Windows 7SP1

An up-to-date LibreOffice under Windows7SP1 (which I am forced to work with) crashes on every startup, displaying a crash report dialog, then starts normally, displaying the recovery dialog.
This is not related to a specific file or file type (as far as I can tell) and it is not related to LibreOffice being closed inappropriately.

I am looking for suggestions to troubleshoot this.
I have no idea about what causes the crash since the crash dialog doesn’t provide any information.

Does your Windows includes the required update - see LibreOffice 7.1 Community: Release Notes - The Document Foundation Wiki ?

I am not sure it was this specific update that did the trick because following the link to install the update brought up a dialog box saying that my computer didn’t need the update.
But just before I tried to apply it, I had rebooted and Windows had a pending update.
After reboot, the issue was gone.
