LibreOffice's Dialogs (Calc, Writer, etc) Will Not Close

LO 25.2.0.3 on Windows 11 Pro 24H2

When LO opens some of its dialogs, for example, Help -> Check for Updates..., there is nothing I can do to get the dialog to close. Not the “X” button at the upper-right of the dialog and not the “Close” button will close the dialog. I cannot even close LO itself because the dialog is still open. The only thing I can do is terminate the process from the Task Manager.

I am seeing this problem with a new user login on a new PC, and I have copied the %APPDATA%\LibreOffice folder over for this user from my user login on another PC. I had read that this could be done to copy a complete existing LO environment to a new user. It has worked in the past between two users on the SAME PC.

any firewall restriction ?

Normally, you would copy just the user folder.
The entire user folder might not be compatible with the current version. Best to check if it works OK in Safe Mode or with a temporary user profile, LibreOffice user profile - The Document Foundation Wiki

There is other stuff you have copied into your folder however so it isn’t the same as a clean installation.

Maybe try going to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features , right click LibreOffice and select Repair first.
