Libreofice Writer: taking up LOTS of RAM : like 8 gb?

Great work on Libreoffice!

  1. Is it “normal” for libreoffice to take up like 8 GB of ram on a 600 word ODT document? This is happening to me?
  2. Any way to reduce this without impacting functionality and speed?
    3> I tried to disable JAVA runtime but the checkmark box will NOT uncheck?

With the navigator in the sidebar, you can look for what objects there are.
