Whenever I paste a gif or jpg-image into Impress and want a line around the image, the line shows only at the bottom or at the bottom and right edges. It never shows around all edges of an image.
Is this a bug or do I miss somewhere some settings?
(LO 3.4.4 on Ubuntu 11.10)
I just tested importing a jpeg into a new Impress document. I right-clicked on the image, selected “Line” and then changed properties from default as follows:
Style: Continuous
Width: 0.18"
I then clicked “Ok”, and the line showed up all the way around the image.

Your note: Width: 0.18" made me testing again because I never use such a thick line.
Around images I only use the thinnest line available which I get with Style: continuous and Width: 0.00cm. This is also the default width.
In the test I started with width 0.01 cm (0.004") and continued in steps or 0.01 cm up to 0.06 cm. At about 0.04 cm I got the impression that the line on the top and left side of an image is slowly appearing. At 0.06 cm it was obvious that the line does not go exactly around the picture but the closed line is shifted to the right bottom
When using line widths of 0.1 cm or more the lines are pretty good to be seen because the hidden part is small compared with the line width. However when I have a close look, I can see a white gap between the bottom and right side line and the image.
I will make a bug report. I am using LibO 3.5.7 on XP/SP3

Re: “Width: 0.00cm”, how tiny is that? I’d almost believe that would be an invisible line, but I guess with rounding it could actually be up to 0.004cm which, depending upon scale/zooming, could be visible.

When I used this 0.00 cm line for the first time, I clicked OK to fast but saw a nice thin line. Thus I started using it more often. Especially as this is the default.
