Linked data from embeded OLE object

I did a search and the closest I found was Linked data from an embedded document

My information: I am using LO 7.1.0.2 Portable. I have a Writer document (invoice) that I embedded (no outside Calc file) a Calc table. I run the calculations and come up with a total. Everything is fine and working as it should at this point.

NOW, I want to LINK the answer (cell) from the embedded Calc portion into Writer. I copy the cell–>click the location in the Writer document and “copy special”–>DDE …Nothing happens
