Linked document in writer does not show original alignment

Hi there. I have created a section in document 1, and I want to link document 2 so that it shows within that section of document 1. Document 2 is justified (through styles), but it shows as aligned to left within the section of document 1. What should I do to preserve the justified alignment of document 2 when it shows within document 1?

As usual, OS name and LO version are helpful to guide you.

How are both documents styled? Independently from each other or through a common template? Have you loaded styles from one to the other?

If you didn’t take precautions to guarantee that same-name styles have the same definition in both files, expect such discrepancies.

What is imported by inserting a section is text. In case a style does not exist in the importing document, its definition is retrieved but local style settings take precedence over remote style.

Conclusion: synchronise your style definitions to avoid “surprises”. My recommendation is to base all your documents on a personal template.
