I have a document with 11 tables in 2 colums. When I created it all the tables had a single space between each table. After saving and restarting the tables vary in the amount of space between each table from the 1 line to half a page. How do I keep to just a line between each table. There are no page breaks and each table has a header row and a tick in the boxes to allow them to span pages and colums. The only way I can force it ti look like I need is to not have a space between tables and put a blank last row in the table. Is there a better way of doing this
I would hazard a guess that you have Keep with next paragraph box ticked either in Table Properties, or in the paragraph style (Heading of some kind?) of your blank line. Untick them, and/or change the Heading to Text Body, and it should be fine.
The Keep with next paragraph setting is to keep a table together with its description below. Or to keep a Heading together with the start of the paragraph it heads. Other uses such as having it set for Text Body is likely to end in tears before bedtime. Cheers, Al
