Linux Writer Impossible to get "form control wizard" visible

Hello

I am using LO 24.2.6…2 on Linux Xubuntu 24 and I get started with forms, but I cannot make the form control wizard icon visible on the form control toolbar : every time that I try to check it, it dispears.

If I use LO with windows,I have no problem to get it working.

Any clue ?

Have you tried starting LO with the VCL gen UI instead of the gtk3 UI?

SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen /pathtoLO/binary

Open a windowed terminal session (I am presuming you know how to do that).

Within the terminal, type :

whereis soffice

and hit the return key. That should give you the location of the soffice binary.

Now copy/paste that path, or type it into the terminal, but before pressing the return key, precede it on the same line with the sal_use_vcl instruction.
