Hi there, I’m new to LibreOffice so I don’t know if this question has been asked before. Is there a list of codes that one can type when writing a document, like MS Word has (Alt+…), that allows one to highlight, insert shapes, etc? It is such a hassle continually having to open that insert page and then find the image or highlight or whatever… Please can you help me? Thanks

Hello @MichaelRSA,
For a complete list of Keyboard Shortcut codes for LibreOffice Writer ( version 5.4 ), please see:
Shortcut Keys for LibreOffice Writer
HTH, lib
Under Tools → Customize → Keyboard you can see all available keyboard shortcuts and even define new ones. To quickly insert characters or objects you can use AutoCorrect (Tools → AutoCorrect → AutoCorrect Options) and AutoText (Tools → AutoText): the first one replace short texts by others (like :--:
turning into an n-dash) while the other insert arbitrary content (like typing fn
and then pressing F3
to insert a table with a Math object and a number range).
