Hi,
I use Swedish on both OS and LO. I have an iMac with OS 10.11.1 installed. I successfully downloaded and installed LO 5.0.3, but when I try to open it I get a message that the file is damaged and need to be thrown away.
How do I solve this?
I don’t want to go back to an earlier version of my OS.
Have you trying searching on the net for LibreOffice plus the message?
Hello, I had the same problem today.
I am on El Capitan, and wanted to update my Libre Office install to 5.0.3.
- I solved it by going to System Preferences > Security & Privacy.
- Unlock the settings by clicking the lower left lock.
- In “allow apps downloaded from…” select: Anywhere.
After this I could run Libre Office 5.0.3.
After this you can set back the setting you changed as it was before.
I found the solution to this problem. In OS X you have a function called Gatekeeper. It allows you to install programs from Mac App Store only. In order to install programs from other sources you need to temporarily allow to install from anywhere. It would be better if you could add an update that supports the gatekeeper function.
