LO 5.2.3.3 Export to PDF

Hi all,

if I “export to PDF” from Writer or Calc and open the PDFs in Okular (OpenSuse, KDE), Okular does not show the file name / document title in the caption, but for all documents the text “standardWRITER” or “standardCALC”.

Which is a little bit ugly

Any chance to change? Haven’t found anything on “export …” dialogue, unfortunately.

Thanks,
Michael

Tried multiple viewers in Mint 18 Cinnamon and they all work. Here is Okular:

This is using LO v5.3.0.3

Hi “Ratslinger”,

thanks for testing!

After your tests, which indeed showed that Okular is doing a fine job, I’ve finally found out that the root cause was MY MISTAKE, sorry for that!

As they where missing in OpenSuse, I’ve added KDE/Dolphin shortcuts for “New → LibreOffice Calc file” and “New → LibreOffice Writer file”. For this, I’ve had to create and specify empty templates that time. And, WHYEVER and HOWEVER, the template file names (standardCALC.ods, standardWRITER.odt) found their way without suffix into “file - properties - title”. “Title” is taken by Okular to be shown in caption, which is reasonable and fine.

So SOLVED, works fine, also for me!

Thanks again,
Michael

Strange. I can’t set my own answer to “correct”, needs “20 points”…

Yes I read about. You need that many points to accept your own answer. Anyway, you asked for 20 points…
