LO 7.5 printing is misfigured

Although I can get the idea my bank staement is not printing as it should. It is hard to explain and I cannot for obvious reasons post it.
If I need drivers how do I do itI have Windows 11 and was using MS but rmovedd it for LO 7.5.
I could not fill in a box above b/c all else was not in English.

Moved from Site Feedback to English category, as Site Feedback is, well, for feedback about this Ask site…

And it is even harder for us to understand what the question is. Does any other document print correctly? If so, there is no need for an “exotic” driver. Do you print it from within LO or do you try to print it from the file manager with a right-click?

Is your bank statement a LO document (extension .odt), a Word document (extension .doc(x)), PDF document (extension .pdf), some conventional bank format, …? Do you see it correctly displayed on screen in LO?

It seems other documents print ok. I use file>print.
I changed the type to .Docx.
The left border seems to be indented too much so I do not see all of the print, just about 1/8th inch.
Per directions I went to format>page style>then changed the left to 20 instead of the default .59 then apply and ok.
I noticed that it did noit fix the problem and reverted back to reset.
That apparently was not the answer.
With MS Office writer it is a bit off with all bank statements but is legible.
It seems I need to move the left border over about 1/8".

Does it mean the original document has another extension? What was it? Changing the extension allows you to control which program opens the document. But LO reads the beginning of the file to make its mind about the way to interpret the document. If it recognises it is text, it launches Writer; for a spreadsheet, Calc; for PDF, Draw; … It is important you tell us the original extension. And when LO sees it is not its native format, it tries to convert or translate it into its internal form which is the only one it manages. The translation is rarely 100% accurate. Consequently you should not be surprised by differences.

I went to the site I am trying to paste to LO writer and it is.com.
Does that help?

On the Writer Guide or Help the units are normally given. Most of the world uses the metric system so the 20 is probably written 20 mm, that is about 3/4" (0.75").

You have a margin of 0.59" and you want about another 1/8" (0.125") so change the margin to 0.75".

Windows 11 includes basic drivers for many printers, sometimes they do not work well. For Windows 11, it is always best to download and install the printer manufacturer’s drivers for your exact model of printer (unknown to us).

If your bank statement is in pdf format then you should print from a pdf reader like Adobe Reader. If you open a pdf in Draw and you don’t have the exact same fonts then the text might extend beyond the page boundaries.

I mentioned the Writer Guide before, you can download that and the Getting Started Guide from English documentation | LibreOffice Documentation - LibreOffice User Guides

First thanks for the 0.75 recommendations.
I download the drivers directly from the manufacrers site. I did not know if LO rerquired another.
The bank site is limited so I click on print select the choices like pages etc and print. I will pay attention to see if there is a better way as I never really looked.
I have beeen reading a lot about LO and using YouTube to help also. I have been hacking away at the old keyboard for 20 years but with each new site there are different rules and directions.
I migrated from MS not just for savings but they are gung ho for subscriptions and since the involvment with India the ugly head of greed has taken over all else.
Thank you for the polite help.

Better to use the official documentation as linked above. Not everything on the internet can be trusted to be accurate, useful or safe. That is why I am not following your link, I did a search on the terms bank "is.com" and couldn’t see a bank listed in the first results.

Typically, tax rules require you to keep records for a certain number of years. It is easier to download and save securely in .csv or Excel format for calculations and I think you might need the pdf statement for tax office (you could print the pdf).

Thank you for all the helpful information.
I must admit, except for the bank faux pas LibreOffice is working very well. I just have to get to know how to use it. I am going to find a site similar to the bank and see what I can adjust.

So I guess you use a “print to pdf” to get a file or the bank provides you a pdf with their settings to download?
.
If my assumption above is right you don’t need LibreOffice to print. Actually printing pdf is one of the few reasons to keep Adobe Reader, as it can scale and fit pdf to pages. LibreOffice would open a pdf in Draw, wich is a nice feature for smaller edits, but for not much else.
.
But search/ask your bank, if they provide data for “export”. Most do. Then you have to learn to import this files (typically.csv or .xlsx) into your LibreOffice.

After studying the notes re: LO writer, I tried another bank site and again found no other ways but to follow limited prompts. Print>no mention of pdf, [I have dobe Acrobat], pages, portrait/landscape,speed and a few that were not part of this topic.
I consideed landscape, what do you think?

I think that print command just prints the html. Nothing passed to LibreOffice. Just like pressing Ctrl+P in this page

OK but I wil try landscape nex time just to see.
