version 6.3.4.2 (x64). Creating reports in BASE seem to be very different in the same version of LO running on Windows vs. Linux. I am running dual boot LINUX Mint Cinnamon and Windows 10. Both operating systems are latest versions. I work in either operating system on the same DB with no issues other than the Report function. Is there an add-in or a config that I am missing in my LINUX version? The Windows 10 report creator seems to be much easier to use so I use Windows for that, but it’s not much good if I am using LINUX. Any Ideas?
Hello,
You question lacks some information which may be relevant. Although I do not use Windows anymore, I don’t recall any differences as you note. You also do not mention what differences these are.
Now the information missing is where you obtained the LO version for Linux from. I have no problems with the TDF (The Document Foundation) version (have used on many Linux distros including Mint Cinnamon). If yours is a distro version it is most likely missing one or two items - see tdf#121136. You can use Synaptic Package Manager to verify/install these - libreoffice-report-builder
and libreoffice-report-builder-bin
.
If you have further problems, please be more specific with information such as error messages if any and what exactly is the problem instead of “won’t open in LO (LINUX)”.
Thank you. The Packages seemed to work. It even opened the reports it wouldn’t before. The editor looks the same, now. Thanks again! How can I mark this as solved?
Glad all is working now. By clicking the check mark you have already marked this as an accepted answer. This is no need to do anything else.
