LO prints from the “print directly” icon, and other programs also print. The problem happens with Writer and Calc (I haven’t tested anything else). When LO hangs, it loses focus - clicking on the colored top of the window frame causes focus to return briefly. Software is windows 10 and Libreoffice 5.2.2.2, and an earlier version of LO (can’t remember which one, but I upgraded as part of my troubleshooting procedure).
Please try resetting the user profile, sometimes solves strange issues.

Usually it’s enough renaming/deleting the file “user/registrymodifications.xcu”, it affects all the options in Menu/Tools/Options, and the files “user/basic/dialog.xlc” and “scrip.xlc” are overwritten, additionally custom colors in “user/config/standard.soc” are lost.
