LO on Raspberry Pi Can't Access OpenMeadiaVault (OMV) files

I have an OMV NAS on my home network. I use LO on MacOS, Win10, Win11, Linux Mint and others and get full access to the LO files without issue. OMV is set up for “Guests Only” anonymous login.

LO on my Raspberry PI OS devices insists that the files are “locked for editing by Unknown User” and can only be opened read-only or as a copy for editing. If I open a copy and try to save it, I have “insufficient user rights”. I can, however, save the copy to local storage on the RPi.

Other non-LO applications such as Text Editor have full access to their files on the NAS. Also, I have full access to all the files with the RPi File Manager, and file managers on MacOS, Win, etc.

I have had this problem for a year or more, probably since I first set up the NAS. I have tried many re-installations of various software and looked for outside help while hoping an update would fix the issue. Yesterday I decided to try Ubuntu for RPi downloaded with the RPi Imager app to see if the problem existed when running Ubuntu as well. To my surprise, LO worked perfectly with Ubuntu.

Ubuntu was using LO 7.5 vs 7.0 on the RPi so I decided to install Snap on the RPi and install LO 7.5, after first removing all the LO 7.0 files using Add/Remove Software app. LO 7.5 installed and ran but didn’t resolve the problem.

Thinking I may have missed some LO 7.0 info files, I downloaded a new 64 bit RPI image without recommended software (no LO) and then installed Snap and LO 7.5. Same problem, plus LO couldn’t even find the NAS.

One last try was to download RPi 32 bit full image with LO and try it. Same problem.

All this recent testing used a RPi 400, but a standard RPI 4 (4gb) had the same issues in the past. I assume the results of the tests would be the same but didn’t recheck.

Thanks for any help.
