LO Vanilla for MacOS won't print in portrait

All files printed properly in portrait on HP Photosmart before upgrading to MacOS Sierra and upgrading to LO Vanilla from Apple Store.

When printing from in Writer it always prints landscape. How can I correct this?

I’ve submitted a bug report on the bug site.
There is a (silly) workaround: Set the PAGE size to be Custom 8.51x11 instead of LETTER.
