LO writer 5.7 will not export a .ODF document as a .PDF file - only creates HTML format file extension Win 10 Pro

The
File - Export - (Choosing “PDF Export”, and adjusting the settings)
and the
File - Export as - Export as PDF - (settings)
and the
File - Export as - Export Directly as PDF
works fine for me with my LO 7.5.7 x84 on Win10 x64 Pro.
.
How you tried to do it?

It’s a long time since I used version 5.x, but I don’t remember any fundamental problems in creating pdf.
.
Can you show your settings when you export to pdf (screenshot) and maybe upload the resulting html-file here for inspection?
.
You have extensions visible in explorer settings? Or do you rely on Windows showing the program handling the file? This may show browser Edge as default handler for pdf.
.
As a work-around you may select “print” instead and use the print to pdf driver, wich is available in Win10.

Many Thanks for your responses the problem is down to me - when I received the file location screen for the ‘export’ function, the folder location displayed showed the file extensions as Chrome HTML. When I viewed the folder contents using Windows File Explorer (on the toolbar at the bottom) it shows the file extensions for the those self same files, it shows them as PDF documents. ‘Strange’ ? but apologies for the confusion.
