Just installed Libre v6.1.2.1 for the first time but I find the load time excessive. I’ve a big document with lots of images so how can I speed it up? I have found out where but I do not no how. E.g. what settings to use.

How many pictures do you have in your document? What file size do the individual pictures have? Are the images embedded in the document or connected via OLE? In what format do you save your text document?
The file size of the images should be reduced to the required level.
There are a lot, all embedded and resolution and/or number of pictures cannot be changed. If I load the same document in Open Ofice it opens twice as fast as Libre. I’d carry on using Open Office but it’s very unstable.
I have cut down load times by breaking the documents into smaller section but it’s not ideal.
There was something on the web about libre cache/memory size or some such but I can’t find it in this version.
