Hi, I am stuck working on a macro for my loan and credit card debit presentation. I have a learning disability and some dementia to aid in my problem solving challenges. Included is a worksheet showing a mock account using bull in china shop method to show all the payments that would be made in “CREDIT CARD BALANCES”. That is just for demonstrating how so many little charges add up. To a huge string of payments. I want each account to appear on its own sheet. There should be between 8 to 15 accounts listed on the “LOAN AN INTEREST PAYMENTS STEP1” sheet “ACCOUNT INFORMATION” column d. This range is the source of the sheet names to follow in the document. I have seen you make range references which make sense to me but not to the point I can make them from scratch. I started another spreadsheet called “NAMESHEET”, made a macro from a script I copied from copilot; it doesn’t work! It does leave the first account sheets name but then gets hung up. My guess is nothing in the macro makes previsions to create new sheets. I am also not clear on how line 11 and 12 relate, also line 15 and 16 – is there a mismatch?
The range-size routine will calculate the number of sheets needed. I have a formula on “CCB” file at i9 to i11 showing how to calculate the size of payment array and interest data array. I found the calc function NPER to find the same result.
One step at a time: 1, set up the sheet names function from the ranged data working properly- 2, set up a small table with PV, PMT, interest, total spent on principal, total spent on interest, total monies spent- .3, the breakdown showing each payment throughout the loan- 4, What changes will occur if a balloon payment is made- 5 changes when a loan consolidation is set up.
I have been spinning my wheels on this for several weeks and feel no closer to the first step. Please take a look and guide me through this first step and help me carry on from there.
Thanks George
P.S. I am also unclear on how macros are saved in Libreoffice. Does it just add more program lines and just call a small portion of code for running a macro? I expected each macro to be independent from each other. Mine are not behaving that way. Look through my macros to see where I went wrong organizing them. Again, Thanks!
